“Bangers” and Mash

Tonight was an easy simple dinner- just the way I like it!! 🙂 Check out this low carb, keto recipe:

Bangers and Mash:

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of Trader Joe’s sausage of choice (I used the Sweet Italian Sausage)
  • 1 package of Trader Joe’s frozen cauliflower mash
  • 1 Tbsp cream cheese
  • 2 Tbsp of butter
  • 1 3/4C beef broth
  • 1/2 onion sliced
  • garlic salt

Steps:

  1. Preheat grill
  2. In a hot skillet on medium high heat, add the butter.  Cook until slightly browned, about 2 minutes.  Add the sliced onions.  Allow to cook for about 10 minutes until translucent.  Then add the beef broth.  Let come to a boil and reduce to a simmer.
  3. Meanwhile, grill sausages to desired temperature.
  4. Put the cauli mash in your Pampered Chef steamer.  Cook on high for 5 minutes.  Once done, drain any excess water.  Add the cream cheese and garlic salt.  Stir to combine.
  5. Plate up: mash on bottom, sliced sausage, onion gravy on top.
