The BEST Crispy Brussel Spouts

The addiction is real!!! It’s officially brussel sprout season and I can’t get enough.  We eat crispy brussel sprouts at least two times a week as a side dish.  I swear… this is the best recipe ever!! Try it out.  Thank me later 🙂

Ingredients:

  • 1 package of organic brussel sprouts
  • EVOO or avocado oil
  • Trader Joe’s garlic salt (in the grinder)
  • Himalayan sea salt
  • 1/2 lemon, juiced
  • 1/4c pecorino romano cheese (if using)

Steps:

  1. Preheat oven to 425 deg
  2. Remove the stump and slice brussel sprouts individually into thin pieces.
  3. Spread cut sprouts on a baking pan.  Drizzle with EVOO, garlic salt, and Himalayan sea salt.  Use hands to toss.
  4. Bake in oven for 18 minutes.
  5. Remove immediately from oven.  Drizzle squeezed lemon juice directly on top.  If using cheese, sprinkle cheese over the roasted sprouts.
  6. Wait about 5 minutes for the cheese to melt.
  7. Dig in : )

 

**Keto dieters:  add some bacon for an extra keto treat!**
