I needed a flavor kick so I decided to make Beef Shawarma. This recipe is so good and so incredibly easy! Very flavorful and satisfying for your “takeout” cravings.

Ingredients:
- 1-1.5lb 80% ground beef
- 1/2 Sour Cream
- 2 cloves of garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp cumin
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- salt, pepper
- 1/4 lemon, juiced
- 1 tsp hot red pepper flakes
- 1 package of Trader Joe’s riced cauliflower (in Frozen section)
- 2 tbsp soy sauce or coconut aminos
- Diced scallion onions (garnish)
Sauce:
- 1/2c sour cream
- garlic salt
- onion powder
- 2 tbsp beef broth or chicken broth
Steps:
- Mix the ground beef and the sour cream. Set aside.
- Make the sauce while the beef is marinating. Add all ingredients to a bowl. Mix to combine. Add as much liquid to get the desired consistency (I like it thicker so I don’t add as much broth).
- Preheat a pan to medium high heat. Add butter. When melted, add the meat / sour cream mixture.
- Add spices and lemon juice.
- Once cooked through and crumbled, remove beef from pan. In the same pan, add the riced cauliflower. Allow to cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the soy sauce. Continue to cook until done.
- Plate up: Cauli rice, beef, side of sauce + diced onions for garnish.
