Recently I had the pleasure of dining at the fine Masseria by Nicolas Stefanelli.  What an experience!!  This restaurant (winner of one Michelin Star in Washington DC) specializes in small, gourmet dishes.  I selected the Five Course meal.  Each course made my mouth so very happy!  The outdoor patio is lovely.  Very chic and cozy with family and friends.  Would be a great place for a date night as well.

My menu included:

TARTARE :

Chapel Hill Farm Veal Tartare.
Caper. Tomato.
Parmigiano.

PROSCIUTTO E MELONE **This, by the way, was my absolute favorite.  The prosciutto melts in your mouth!!**:

Prosciutto Di Parma.”
Melon.Walnut.
Anise Hyssop. “Piadina.”

MACCHERONI: (second favorite)

“Maccheroni Molinari Domus.”
Eggplant. Tomato. ‘‘‘Nduja.”
Ricotta Salata.

Maryland Blue Crab.
Tomato. Spicy Saffron Emulsion

Rye and Corn Sbriciolata.
Maple Brown Butter. Huckleberries.
Toffee Corn. Salted Corn Gelato.

Pits:

No pits here, my friend!! I enjoyed every moment of this meal.  Lucky for me, I was surrounded by beautiful friends and amazing food.
